Description

Cecchi Chianti is modest and food-friendly, with loads of Sangiovese varietal character. It shows aromas of red currant, spice, and leather. The palate is filled with floral, spice, licorice, cassis notes, balanced acidity, and soft, silky tannins. Sangiovese-based wines are excellent matches for tomato-centric dishes.

Tasting Notes

An uncomplicated, food-friendly Chianti that's easy to enjoy. Light ruby-garnet in colour. Appealing aromas of light red cherry, herb and earth with leaf and spice tones. Medium bodied on the palate, with soft tannins and fresh acidity. Shows juicy dark fruit, plum and herb flavours with hints of vanilla, leather and spice.

Serving Suggestion

Serve at a cool temperature with a wide variety of uncomplicated fare, especially suited to antipasti and tomato based dishes
